August 2015 Newsletter

****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:

Can you believe it is August? We completed five Official Visits. My compliments to the District Deputy Grand Matrons and members. Your dedication to our Order is very much appreciated. Thank you to those that have been faithful in attending each Official Visit. Id like to encourage you to attend the Official Visits in August.

The Courtesy Visits at Nova Stella # 36, and Pearl River # 237 were super. The food was delicious, and the fellowship was awesome. You welcomed Bro. Rocky and I, and other Grand Officers. It was great to visit with the members. We learned a cute fundraiser for our projects. Thank you to those who have participated with Brother Rocky and I. Sister Irmgard finally learned how to operate her camera.

There were thirty nine members and two guests at the Multi State Exchange in Hot Springs, AR. Arkansas outdid themselves, but we didnt expect anything less. Friday night was a night of fun, Saturday was a great lunch, and ended the evening with a beautiful banquet.

We do not need the ten homemade gifts for Grand Chapter. Last year, I brought home six boxes of gifts

left from the previous years. Thank you for the collection from the previous years. Be sure to read the announcements included in the newsletter. Some dates have changed.

Tickets are available for the GGCCM luncheon, and La/Ms Friendship Exchange. Bring a cross to exchange at the La/Ms Friendship Exchange. Sister Linda Lamkin, PGM is ticket chairman. More information is included in the newsletter.

If you are interested in attending the Mississippi GGCCM banquet and Little Red Schoolhouse Picnic, I

included information in the newsletter. I would like to encourage you to attend the Little Red Schoolhouse

Picnic.

Sister Juanita Wilkinson, PGM, is Chairman for the GGCCM Breakfast honoring Brother Harles I Creech, PMWP; Sisters Terrie Castay, PGMAmbassador to New Jersey, Diane Smith, PGM Alzheimer, and Brothers George Barker, PGPCancer and Edward Burnitt, PPBobbies Forever

Friends. This will be held at General Grand Chapter. More information will be available soon. If you would like to give a donation to honor them, please give it to your Chapter Secretary The Secretary will send it to the Grand Secretary.

Dont forget to honor Rob Morris in the month of August. The Roster has been mailed. If you would like to purchase one or make a correction, please contact the Grand Secretary.

We have pendants available for sale for a donation of $25.00. Brother John Belanger has nice bags for

sale for $10.00 for the Scottish Rite Learning Center, and Cancer pins are on order and will be available

from Rejeana or Trent Bonnette. They will sell for $10.00. Please support these charities. Remember to give the money to the Secretary of your chapter who will then send it to the Grand Secretary.

I have picked up many pairs of shoes for Mexico. Sister Jane McDaniel, PGM, gave me her shoes at one of the Official Visits. Thank you Sister Jane. I came home from the courtesy visits with a trunk full. Thank you so much for your participation in this project. I can only imagine the look on the faces of the people that receive these shoes.

Please remember those who have been ill, had surgeries, or have lost loved ones. Our Grand Chaplain, Brother Conrad Champagne, lost his mother on July 18th.

With the Stars in the Sky and Star love,

Kathy Warmack,

Worthy Grand Matron
