December, 2017 Newsletter

From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

I hope everyone had a Blessed Thanksgiving. Lets continue thanking the Lord for all we are, for all our family and friends and the freedom we have.

The last Official visit was wonderful, emotional, and I loved it. Thank you to all the members throughout the state, you have made all the Official Visits and other courtesies the best memories that I will cherish forever.

I hope I have encouraged each one of you to recommit to the teachings of our beautiful Order. A Time for Fidelity, faithful to your convictions, it shows who you really are. A Time for Constancy, is being dependable in coming to the meetings. A Time for Loyalty, to your Obligation and commitments. A Time for Faithfulness, to be open to ideas to help the Order grow. A Time for Fervency, show your passion for your Love to your Sisters and Brothers. Remembering that all this comes from the Light of Gods Holy Word that is within your heart.

I enjoyed two more Courtesy visits. The annual visit to Fidelity chapter was such a good time, Sister Jane always comes up with a fun program for the Grand Master and the WGM. Baton Rouge Chapter was a great visit as well. Thank you for inviting us to your chapters.

Secretaries, please read in chapter all the important information listed and the upcoming events.

Remember the past, thats what built your character. Plan for Future Adventures. But mostly enjoy the now with those around you.

Have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Remember Jesus is the Reason for the Season

God Bless, I love you all,

Debbie Poche

Worthy Grand Matron

Each Chapter needs to send the District Chairman or the State Chairmen the following information:

1. Gnome Bunch Personal Achievement Information, to:

Jim Josker, 540 Goss Rd., Westlake, LA 70669.

2. What you did as a chapter and how much money the chapter gave for Regenerative Medicine,

3. What was done for Heart and how much money was donated,

4. What did you do for Supporting First Responders and any money donated to that fund,

5. What did the chapter do to honor the youth and the money collected for them.

Be sure that all monies are sent through the chapter secretary to Grand Chapter so Sister Pam can give the proper credit for the Chapter.

There is an open position needed from the Southern Section for the Clinton Ardis Mills, Elective Board. Send in your Letter of Intent to the Grand Secretary, Sister Pam.

The Hospitality Committee is looking forward to receiving your creative homemade donations for our Distinguished Guests.  Each chapter is to provide 5 items.

Don't know what to make; perhaps a drawstring bag for shoes or a small bag for glasses, cosmetics, or jewelry; a Louisiana themed Christmas ornament. We already have plenty of crocheted pot holders. Thank you so very much for your donations. Susan Freeman, PM, Chairman Distinguished Guest and Hospitality.
