February 2016 Newsletter

From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:

My! It is February already. Time has flown by for this year. We hope that you have made memories, friends that will last a lifetime, and had a wonderful year. I certainly have done all of the above.

Several attended the Louisiana Masonic Grand Lodge Session January 29 - 30th at the SAI Convention Center in Alexandria. It was great to visit with the Masonic men and their wives. They always make us feel special. Mr. William Mollere is to be commended for his leadership this year. We pray for their session to be successful. We wish for Mr. Will Gray and his officers the best for the coming year.

Thanks to the District Chairmen who have worked so hard and also to the State Chairmen who have carried out the plans this year. At Grand Chapter, your reports will reflect your hard work. Please have your reports ready to be given at Grand Chapter. Remember to keep them short, and have three copies to give to the Grand Secretary.

Send money for the various projects to the Grand Secretary and information to the District Chairman and State Chairman. Remember to send a copy of the Chapter Annual Activity Report (Chapter Award of Excellence) to the DDGM and Worthy Grand Matron. I use these to prepare the award for the Chapters.

Chapter Secretaries, please send the names of the first five elected and installed officers complete with proper titles to the Associate Grand Matron, Grand Secretary, Grand Conductress and Chairman of Committee on Credentials. Please include the phone number and email address of the Chapter Secretary.

Congratulations to all the Worthy Matrons and Worthy Patrons, but especially to the members that will be serving as a Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron for the first time. I know you will carry your chapter to greater heights.

We need you to sing in the choir at Grand Chapter. We want to make a joyful noise and to do that we need you. Please contact Sister Beverlyn Cowart, or better yet, show up for Grand Chapter and surprise her by singing in the choir. Correct phone Numbers: 985/863-7108 house phone and 985/290-3425 for cell.

We need Assisting Grand Warders and Grand Sentinels. If interested, please contact Brother James Pantalion, Grand Warder, and Brother Richard Porche, Grand Sentinel.

Please send in your registration for Grand Chapter, and order your banquet tickets

February 6th will be the Central Section Workshop. We have had great attendance, and great question sessions. Thank you for attending If you havent attended one, please join us at Palestine Chapter # 55 in Winnfield. Lets fill the chapter room to capacity.

Brother Rocky and I and the Grand Officers are hoping to see you at Grand Chapter on March 19 – 23, 2016 at the SAI Convention Center in Alexandria, La.

Please remember to pray for those who have been ill, had surgeries or lost loved ones, and remember our government and military.

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Sugar is Sweet, and so are YOU!
