From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:

May has brought some wonderful times. The opportunity to visit with each other began on May 14, 2016 when the Homecoming of the Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron was held at the West Cenla Shrine Center in Leesville. This was the first time many of us had seen friends since Grand Chapter.

Most of the District Deputy Grand Matron Visits have been completed and some of the Schools of Instructions. I hope you enjoyed yours and were able to attend others. I miss these very much.

Soon the Official Visits will begin. The first will be District 8, June 4, the home district of our Worthy Grand Patron, Brother Gerald. June 25, we will also be hosting the LA/AR Exchange at Creswell Temple, 1805 Creswell St., Shreveport. Be sure to get your tickets. Information for ordering tickets is further in this letter. Rainbow Assembly will be held in Bossier City June 10-12. Let's show our support for them. I look forward to each of you joining us as we begin an exciting journey through the year.

Thought of the Month: Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. -Leo Buscaglia, author (1924-1998)
