May 2015 Newsletter

From the Desk of the Worthy Grand Matron:

April showers bring May flowers and the April showers brought a lot of water. Toledo Bend Lake is at the highest that it has been in quite a while. On March 28, a total of one hundred twelve members including eight Texas Grand Officers, eleven Louisiana Grand Officers, one GGCCM from Louisiana and one GGCCM from Texas, eleven Past Grand Matrons and Past Grand Patrons from Louisiana, one Past Grand Matron from Texas attended the La/TX Exchange. It was a beautiful day after all the rain, and great fellowship with the Texas members.

The District Deputy Grand Matrons have finished their work, and are planning for the Schools of

Instruction. I hope that you are planning to attend the School in your district which will be conducted by our Grand Supervisors. The District Schools of Instruction are also being planned. Please contact Sister Joye Denny, PGM, with your date and place for the District School of Instruction. She is chairman of Work and Ritual. If you have any questions, please contact me or Sister Joye.

Wow!! What a wonderful homecoming and reception for the Grand Officers, General Grand Chapter

Committee Members, and District Deputy Grand Matrons. Hats off to Sister Ria Moore, DDGM of District 8, and Sister Becky Josker, DDGM of District 12. Thank you ladies for a great reception. The tables were decorated with our emblems, the food was delicious and the gifts were so nice. As always, the fellowship was the best.

Our Official Visits will start soon. I look forward to seeing many of you at our first Official Visit. There are several members who have lost loved ones, have had surgery, and been ill. Please remember to keep these in your prayers.

is for the million things she gave me;

maens only that shes growing old;

is for the tears she shed to save me;

is for her heart of purest gold;

is for her eyes, with love-light shining;

means right, and right shell always be.

Put them all together, they spell

A word that means the world to me.

With The Stars in the Sky and Star love,

Kathy Warmack,

Worthy Grand Matron
